As per the reports of Bloomberg on Monday the famous American pancake house chain, IHOP has made the announcement of opening 19 outlets in Pakistan by the end of 2019.
The first location in Pakistan of the popular pancakes house would be Karachi. After that IHOP would be opening 18 more branches throughout Pakistan over the course of 9 years.
According to Bloomberg, the decision of the pancakes brand to tap into the Pakistani market is based on its efforts for seeking into new profits abroad.
Dine Brands Global Inc—the parent company of IHOP informed about this on Monday and further revealed that 9 of its franchises in Pakistan would be operated by the Gerry’s Group while the remaining outlets would be sub-franchised.
Steve Joyce—the Chief Executive Officer of Dine Brands said that Pakistan is that economy which is growing rapidly, and it was the reason behind the outlet’s openings.
In a statement, Joyce said that international development was a significant chunk of the firm’s return to growth.
As per the report, the pancake chain of America has recently come back with Joyce as the CEO of the company after a couple of dismal years.
Akram Ali Muhammad—the Managing Director of Gerry’s Group was cited as saying that they are pleased to bring the world-famous American IHOP experience to Pakistan and to their portfolio of successful firms.
He said that while the brand would be new in Pakistan there is already major awareness of it and the people are excited about IHOP and that they look forward to opening the first outlet later this year.
The chain is already functioning well in 14 nations which include Thailand, India, Guam and Saudi Arabia and is searching for more options for business in the United Kingdom.
