On Thursday the Islamabad High Court (IHC) instructed the Establishment Division to implement minority job quota in the new recruitment in government departments and to dispose of the petition.
Athar Minallah—the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court conducted a hearing session on a petition, filed by the Advocate Yasir Chaudhry.
During the hearing session, the petitioner’s counsel asked before the bench that the National Testing Service (NTS) had ignored the minority quota during the recruitment of staff in lower courts.
He added that legal requirements were not followed in the recruitment procedure.

He prayed the court to give orders for the implementation of minority quota in the recruitment for government departments.
After hearing the arguments, the court instructed the Establishment Division to impose the minority quota keeping into consideration the rights and the case was adjourned.
Resently, it was informed by the Information Minister of Punjab that a talent hunt contest would be launched in the province in the month of March for promoting the musical industry.
