IBA Will Not Take Entry Test for MBA Admissions This year

In the present circumstances, conducting an admission test is not a go-to-option, hence IBA has taken the decision of not taking the entry test for the MBA admissions this year. It has devised an alternative objective criterion for assessing admission applications.

The revised procedure includes shortlisting the candidates based on their prior academic qualifications, quality and duration of work experience or internships, achievements/ co-curricular activities, and the personal statement that would be submitted by the candidate. On the basis of the mentioned criterion, the candidates would then be shortlisted for the final interviews.

While briefing about the changes in the policy, the Executive Director of IBA, Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi said that these changes have been introduced to stick to the public health and safety measures that have been issued by the government and for the wellbeing of the potential candidates.

Hence, the admission policy has been revised by substituting the admission test with an alternative objective assessment criterion for evaluating the prospective candidates based on their profiles and shortlist them for the final interviews as this would be saving the students from getting exposed to risk.

He further added that IBA is continuously monitoring the situation and it will keep on creating ways of making the admission process flexible as and when needed.
