Recently, IBA (Institute of Business Administration) Karachi emailed all its students that in case if anyone tests positive for COVID-19, no extra leaves will be granted to those students. Moreover, the email also included COVID-19 guidelines as all the educational institutes will reopen from the 15th of September under strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
The campus clearly informed that it won’t provide any free hand to the students contracting coronavirus but at the same time, the university also suggested the students to avoid coming to the campus and practice isolation in case if anyone experiences symptoms of the virus.
As per the attendance policy of IBA, students can only miss five classes of each course. Also, there are some courses which only allow two leaves. All those students who fail to follow these rules are directly graded with ‘F’ which means that the student has failed in a course.
The university mentioned the SOPs in the email according to which; wearing masks on campus is compulsory. All students should wash and sanitize their hands frequently. Every form of physical contact should be avoided. There must a distance of three to six feet among each other.
