Hyundai Nishat Motors Private limited (HNMPL) is launching ‘Hyundai H-100 Porter’ next week in Pakistan, as per multiple reports.
The sources have claimed that the announcement regarding the booking date, the price of the car will take place during the launch ceremony. The launch event will take place in Lahore on 2nd December 2019, according to the reports.
The already available info regarding the vehicle is that it is equipped with a Euro II diesel engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The weight capacity of H-100 Porter is of 1.0 ton. It is also important to mention here that H-100 will be the first locally manufactured pickup that will have a four-year or 100,000 km warranty.
H-100 will be manufactured at the local plant of Hyundai in Faisalabad. It will push the indigenization of the pickup to 20%.
“Due to the devaluation of the rupee, the localization can help the market be more sustainable and in this regards the COO had said: Higher indigenization in vehicles can stabilize on which we are focusing more.”
Pakistan’s Nishat Group, Japan’s Sojitz Corporation, and Pakistan’s Millat Tractors Limited are collaborating with Korea’s Hyundai Motors to launch vehicles in Pakistan under the brand name HNMPL.
