Hyderabad Express

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed—the Minister for Railways informed that the Prime Minister—Imran Khan would be inaugurating the Hyderabad Express train on the 15th of November.

While addressing a press conference at the headquarters of the Railways, Sheikh Rasheed said that China would be given preference about the decision regarding the Karachi-Peshawar Mainline (ML-1).

The minister also said that Pakistan got good response and welcoming gesture in China. He added that China is a good friend of Pakistan and has given the offer of gifting Pakistan the primary feasibility report of ML-2 and ML-3.

He also informed that the deputy minister of China railways would soon be paying a visit to Pakistan for helping Pakistan Railways in its efforts to attain an extraordinary growth.

Sheikh Rasheed also said that a request would be made to Imran Khan—the prime minister for regularizing the employees on contract under the Prime Minister Package.

He said that the basic objective and work of the railways at the moment is to improve the railway tracks and to provide good facilities to the passengers and the freight sector.

He informed about the Dhabeji Express that it was having issues and instructions have been given to the superintendent of Karachi to alter its timings for facilitating the workers.

He also told the media that the catering services would be restarted in the Green line train and a tender notice would be released in ten days for proving catering facility to Karachi Express as well as Tezgam trains.

The Railways Minister also talked about the nonstop trains, which operates between Lahore and Faisalabad, and would soon be running up to Multan and the train schedules would soon be revealed.

Answering to one other question Sheikh Rasheed said that if the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf even gets to deliver fifteen to twenty per cent in the first hundred days, then indeed that would be a great achievement.
