Human Rights Ministry Appoints A Transgender Person

As a first towards expanding folds, the Human Rights Ministry has appointed a transgender person.

As per the details shared, Ayesha Moughal—the transgender person would be working at the Ministry of Human Rights as a resource person.

The Minister of Human Rights—Dr Shireen Mazari posted about the news on her personal twitter account.

She tweeted that she welcomes Ayesha with open hands in the Ministry of Human Rights for working with them as an official member.

Dr Shireen also thanked UNDP Pakistan for helping and putting in efforts for providing empowerment to the transgender community.

On the other hand the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony informed that it would be conducting the balloting on additional Hajj quota on June 3 that is Monday.

The additional quota was allocated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which would be divided between the government Hajj scheme and the private Hajj Group Organizers with a ratio of 60 to 40.
