On Saturday, hotels and restaurants will reopen in Balochistan following a two-and-half-month-long pause amidst the coronavirus lockdown.
Hotels and restaurants will have to abide by the standard operating procedures (SOPs) decided by the provincial government. This is as per a notification issued.
For all the staff working in hotels, it has been made mandatory to wear face masks and gloves. Tables have also been limited to 4 customers.
It is pertinent to mention here that only last week, the public transport in Balochistan resumed its operations after being closed for months amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
The Balochistan government officially announced the resumption of public transport across the province. Furthermore, the inter-provincial and inter-district transport has been permitted to commute strictly following the standard operating procedures set by the government.
Furthermore, it was also stated in the notification that the hand sanitizers presence must be ensured inside all the buses and coaches. The travelers must be checked for fever before boarding.

It is important to mention here that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases have surged to 132,405 with 6,472 new cases added to the total number in the last 24 hours.
National Command and Operation Center released the latest data as per which the number of people who have died from COVID-19 is currently recorded at 2,551.
