The government of Punjab has taken the decision of allowing the hotels and cinemas to open in the province after Eid, as per the reports of local media.
According to the sources within the home department the hotels and restaurants are already offering the services of takeaway under the government issued SOPs and they will open their doors for dine-in services after Eid.
They also said that the cinemas and the theatres in the province will also be allowed to open after Eid under the issued SOPs.
Previously, on the 9th of May the government began lifting the weeks-long lockdown that was put in to control the spread of the COVID-19 and opened up the different sectors. The government released SOPs and safety protocols for the businesses in order to curb the spread of the virus.
The apex court had earlier this week given the directives to the government to open all the shopping malls across the nation.
Gulzar Ahmed, the CJP remarked that people will die of hunger even if they manage to live through the coronavirus if the business activities are not resumed in the country.
