Atlas Honda bike prices have increased yet again for the third time in 2018. The prices have increased by Rs 900 to Rs 2000 and are effective immediately.

Due to the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, there has been an increase in the cost of imported spare parts, thus Atlas Honda has announced an increase in its prices to cater to the issue. Being the leader in manufacture and production of bikes in Pakistan, Honda bikes are the top choice for people. But their ever increasing prices is concerning.

The new prices of Honda bikes are

CD-70

  • Old Price: PKR 64,000
  • New Price: Rs64,900

Pridor 

  • Old Price: PKR 88,000
  • New Price: Rs89,900

CB150F 

  • Old Price: PKR 165,000
  • New Price: Rs167,000

 CD Dream

  • Old Price: PKR 68,500
  • New Price: Rs68,900

In January and April, Honda increased its bike prices by Rs500-1,000 and Rs500-3,000 respectively. In January Honda increased the prices of its three bikes Honda CG-125, 100CC Pridor, and Honda CG-125 Deluxe. In April Honda increased prices of six bikes namely, Honda CG-125, 100CC Pridor, and Honda CG-125 Deluxe, CD-70, CD-70 Dream, and CB-150F.

As per news reports Honda is taking advantage of increasing demand for its bikes and thus raising the prices. In July to May period of FY18 Atlas Honda sold 1.058 million units compared to 888,640 units during the same period in 2017.

Honda announced that it will invest around $15 million to increase the production capacity of Honda bikes to 1.5 million units per annum.

On June 11th, the Pakistani Rupee hit a record low at Rs 122 per dollar in early trade at the interbank. The foremost effect of rupee depreciation is the rise in fuel prices and increase in car and bikes prices as we can see.
