According to rumors, Honda Atlas is launching new Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Oriel facelift model. Even though Honda Atlas has not shared any details, the automaker has been sharing promotions like “Better Buckle Up” that has kept the customers on the edge of their seats.
On its Facebook page, Honda Atlas posted a teaser image and video, earlier this month. The caption read “Better Buckle Up!”. As the teaser had picture of lights, the rumor was that Honda Atlas is is transplanting LED headlights in its 1.8L variant.
It is rumored that Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC Oriel might get some exterior modifications. It is being planned by the company to add chrome on the black back strip and around its fog lights.
Also, apart from its front LED fog lights and indicators, it may be adding Sharkfin Antenna. Also it is likely to get carpet in boot roof. The design of the alloy rims might be altered in the facelift model even though the size will remain same.
There is a chance that the interior seat strip color might be change. The seats will be black with red stitching.
Currently both Honda Civic Turbo, and 1.8 i-VTEC Oriel sedans have Cruise Control. The reports state that the Honda Civic Oriel and Turbo booking will begin from 15th April and the delivery will be done by July 2019.
A recent notification to the Honda Atlas dealers revealed that the prices of the products have been increased. The official release by Atlas Honda notes that the prices of Civic cars will be announced later. This might be an indication that Honda is waiting to launch its facelift model before increasing the price.
The current price of Honda Civic I-VTEC Oriel is Rs 3.299 million. Once these changes are done, the facelift model price might be increased by Rs 1.10 lac.
The Honda Atlas officials, upon contact have neither denied nor confirmed the changes.
