A joint statement issued after the peace agreement said that delegation-level talks between the UAE and Israel would be held soon, adding that the agreement would promote peace in the Middle East, NYTimes reported.

According to the news agency, a series of meetings will be held in the coming days between the delegations of Israel and the United Arab Emirates, including investment, tourism, direct air agreements, security, communications, technology, energy, health, culture, environment, and matters of opening embassies in each other’s capitals will be settled.

According to White House officials, the deal was reached after US cooperation, which was ratified during a telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump wrote in his statement released on the social networking website Twitter that a peace agreement has been reached between the UAE and Israel. This agreement is the most important development.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that after this agreement, the annexation of the Palestinian territories to Israel will be stopped.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan added that an agreement had been reached during a telephone conversation with President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, which would prevent further Palestinian territories from joining Israel. The United Arab Emirates and Israel have agreed that the two countries will explore new avenues of cooperation and set a roadmap for the establishment of bilateral relations.

It should be noted that Israel does not yet have diplomatic relations with any of the Gulf Arab countries, but due to Iran’s regional influence, there have been informal contacts between the parties due to common concerns.

According to the Emirati News Agency, under the agreement, cooperation between the UAE and Israel will be enhanced in the fields of security and energy, while the two countries are already cooperating in many areas. The UAE ambassador to the United States said in a statement that the development was a victory for diplomacy and the region.

He added that this is an important development in Arab-Israeli relations, which will reduce tensions and give new impetus to positive change. It should be noted that this is the third official agreement reached by an Arab country since the declaration of the establishment of Israel in 1948. Earlier, Egypt had signed a peace agreement with Israel in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.

Following the resumption of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, the Iranian and Palestinian leaders rejected the agreement. According to the Arab news agency Al Jazeera, Palestinian officials say they reject the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it does not represent the Palestinians and ignores the rights of the people.

Hamas says the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates is tantamount to a betrayal of the Palestinian people. The UAE is violating its national, religious, and humanitarian obligations for the Palestinian cause.

Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), says the UAE has been open about its secret dealings with Israel. What has happened illegally in Palestine to date is the purpose of the UAE-Israel agreement to reward Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement has also called the agreement a surrender.

A statement issued by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the peace deal would create more problems for Palestinians in the future. This agreement will give Israel a chance to be closer to Muslims and Arab countries and to put the problems of the Palestinians behind it. Israel only wants to achieve its goals.

According to Iranian media, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called a meeting to discuss with the Palestinian political leadership immediately after the deal between Israel and the UAE. According to the British news agency Reuters, Iran has called the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates shameful.
