As hearing on the admissibility of the petition resumed, Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Athar Minallah asked the advocate whether the high court should intervene in political affairs.

“Satisfy the court!” the chief justice remarked.

The advocate said that the Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry had concealed his assets while submitting his nomination papers with the ECP before the general elections in 2018. “The land Mr Chaudhry owns in Jhelum was not declared in his nomination papers with the Election Commission of Pakistan,” he added.
