According to the six months of data, the helicopter trips by the Chief Minister of the most populated province of the country Punjab Usman Buzdar cost 273% more than the helicopter trips of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mehmood Khan.
The data containing details from June to November 2019 was provided by the administration of KP and the CM Officer Punjab on the Right-to-Information application filed by the reported of a Pakistan news channel.
According to the data, Punjab’s CM Buzdar took as many as 68 helicopter flights. The flights cost 3.73 million Pakistani rupees and the total was 51 hours and 55 minutes of flying time. This comes to an average cost of Rs72,000 per hour. This cost is 273 per cent high than the fuel cost of the helicopter used by the chief minister of KP.
During these trips by CM Buzdar, a total of 235 people came along with the CM for the rides. The cost of per passenger for trips stands at Rs15,906, which is more than doubled from the KP helicopter cost per passenger.
The CM KP took as many as 77 helicopters flights from June to November 2019. These flights cost 1.404 million Pakistani rupees to the national exchequer. During these flights, Chief Minister KP Mehmood Khan used the helicopter a total of 72 hours and 50 minutes with the average cost of Rs19,264 per hour.
During these official visits, more than 192 party leaders, workers, and other officials of the KP government accompany the CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The cost per passenger came to Rs7,314.
