Unemployment is a major prevalent issue in Pakistan. It is a root cause of more terrible acts of terrorism, crime, corruption etc. In order to reduce unemployment in Pakistan and offer opportunities to the youth of the country, Higher Education Commission (HEC) is launching a skill-based training program for Pakistani youth. The program fulfills the Pakistani Government Vision 2025. The aim of the whole program is to empower at least 5000 unemployed youngsters with the in-demand skill.
In this program, youngster having a Master degree in any general subject be it arts, languages, religion, media, humanities or social studies can apply. The program will communicate the job-oriented skills to the youth. It will last for four months, just like a semester.
The candidates that will be selected, they will be trained by the top universities of Pakistan. The name of the universities is yet not disclosed. Stipends will also be given to the candidates. PKR 5000 will be given to students who are local residents and PKR 10000 for students coming from another city. Certificates will be given to the students after they complete the program.
- 16 years of education equivalent to a Masters degree in a general, arts, or humanities subject
- Age should not be more than 30 years
- Aptitude and screening test clearance important for the training program
- Must be unemployed from last 1 year

The courses that are offered will train the youth in the skills relating to the fields of Marketing & Sales, Small Business Startups (Entrepreneurship), Computing Skills for Office (Microsoft Office), Accounting, Communication Skills (English Language), Journalism (Language), Airline Ticketing, Apparel Merchandising, TV Program & News Production (Media), IT & Leadership Skills, Hotel Management, Construction Project Management (AutoCAD), Digital Marketing Skills, Interior Design, and MS Project
