HEC announces a final deadline for the laptops.
More than 8,000 students of the different universities throughout the nation have not received their laptops despite being chosen in the PM’s laptop scheme.
Hence, the Higher Education Commission has announced a final call asking these students to get their laptops before the 15th of the next month.
As per an official of HEC on Wednesday, more than 8,000 students have been told to receive their laptops before the provided deadline.
He said that out of the total 400,000 laptops distributed among the apex students enrolled in the higher educational institutions throughout the nation, nearly 8,000 were pending.
He added that the students had been chosen on merit basis, but they could not get their laptops owing to the various reasons.
While responding to a question the official said that in case the students failed to get their laptops, these would be provided to the next deserving student on the list.
