For dealing with the threats posed by the coronavirus, a health emergency has been declared in all hospitals of Islamabad on Wednesday, as per the reports of local media.
As per advisory that was issued by the health ministry, the administrations of the Polyclinic, PIMS, CDA hospital and the Federal General Hospital were asked to keep the doctors and the paramedical staff ready for dealing with the airisng situation amid coronavirus outbreak.
The hospitals were instructed to shut down the OPDs until the further orders are released and to discharge the patients immediately who have recoevred from their illness so as the resources could be used for the coronavirus patients.
Keeping the present situation in mind, the leaves of the doctors and the paramedical staff have been annulled, as per the advisory.
Previously on the 18th of March, the CM Punjab Usman Buzdar announced that health emergency had been announced in Punjab besides the imposition of the Section 144 to limit the gatherings and the crowds from the public places after the surge in the number of coronavirus cases.
