In the second week of January the Hajj policy 2019 will be announced. Consultations are going on with the stakeholders to finalize the Hajj policy. Sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony have informed that the stakeholders are being consulted.
In the last week of January 2019 the applications in the government Hajj scheme will be available. General public would be able to access them.
For 2019 the Hajj quota has been increased by 5000, thus 184,210 Pakistanis would perform Hajj in 2019. An agreement was signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to increase the Hajj quote of 2019.
The Minister of Religious Affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri and his Saudi counterpart also agreed on including Pakistani pilgrims in the “Road to Makkah” project in phases, while they inked the deal. 35,000 pilgrims from Sindh would be taking advantage of this scheme during the Hajj 2019.
Earlier we also informed our readers that chances are that Hajj expenses will increase under the government scheme by fifty-five thousand rupees due to different reasons which include the rise in overall prices and inflation in the rupee depreciation against the dollar.
