The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced the Hajj flights schedule on Monday.
As per the schedule, the first Hajj flights would be departing from Islamabad, Lahore, Sukkur, Peshawar and Karachi on the 14th of this month that is the 14th of July.
The post-Hajj flights would be starting from the 28th of the next month that is the 28th of August.
The first Hajj-flight of Pakistan International Airlines from Karachi would be departing at 2:25 am and at 7:00 am from Islamabad on the 14th of July.
As per the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the first Hajj flight from the city of Multan would be departing on the 15th of July and on the 17th of July from Faisalabad.
The intending Hajj pilgrims are being told regarding their flight schedule via SMS and the flight schedule could also be viewed by them on the official website of the Ministry.
The vaccination of the intending pilgrims has already started at the Hajj camps and the pilgrims have been asked to reach the Hajj camps two days prior to their scheduled flight of departure for the Holy journey.
Previously there was a meeting held by Muhammad Asif Jameel—the Additional Commissioner-II Sukkur for reviewing the pre-Hajj arrangements in his office. The meeting was attended by the officers of the Civil Aviation, Manager Airport, police, anti-narcotics, health, custom and other departments concerned.
It was instructed by the Additional Commissioner-II in the meeting to the police and others to maintain foolproof security measures for the intending Hajj pilgrims of 2018.
He also directed the officials to fulfil whatever responsibilities are provided to them.
