Hajj Applications Could be Submitted Even on Saturday and Sunday:SBP

The assigned bank branches would remain open even on the Saturday and Sunday for the collection of the Hajj applications.

The designated branches would be open on the 20th and the 21st of January so that the applications could be collected from various intending Hajj pilgrims for the Hajj season 2018.

This announcement was made on Tuesday by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The statement release said that the State Bank of Pakistan has decided and have instructed the thirteen designated banks to remain open. This direction was given upon the request of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The thirteen chosen banks for the Hajj applications collection are:

  1. Habib Bank Limited (HBL)
  2. United Bank Limited (UBL)
  3. National Bank of Pakistan (NBP)
  4. Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB)
  5. Allied Bank Limited (ABL)
  6. Bank of Punjab
  7. Bank Alfalah
  8. Zarai Taraqiati Bank
  9. Habib Metropolitan Bank
  10. Meezan Bank
  11. Dubai Islamic Bank
  12. Faysal Bank Limited
  13. Askari Bank Limited

The assigned banks are directed to keep their branches open on the 20th and the 21st of January 2018Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Applications along with the Hajj dues are to be collected by the banks from the intending Hajj pilgrims.

Hajj is an important and very dearie religious ritual that every Muslim dreams of fulfilling in his/her lifetime. Poeple save money and wait eagerly for submitting their applications.

State Bank of Pakistan has taken a very thoughful decision by instructing banks to remian open. This would help the intending pilgrims a lot as it would provide them two extra days for the application submission and also it would ease the task of the bank employees as this decision would divide the applications submission load.

This year even the Hajj dues are not changed under the government scheme for the benefit and facilitation of people.

Government of Pakistan is eager to provide the best possible services to the intending Hajj pilgrims even at the level of applications submission.

Let’s hope that may every intending pilgrim get a chance to visit the Holy house either this year or later.
