Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has decided to extend the date of Hajj application submission. The decision was taken on Monday. As per the taken decision the late date of Hajj application submission under the government scheme is 9th March.
A spokesperson of the ministry said in a statement that the balloting for choosing the successful persons would be done on the 11th of March instead of 9th March.
The last date of submitting the hajj applications has been extended from 6th March on the demand of public and for facilitating the intending pilgrims especially those who reside in the snowfall and flood-affected areas and are facing difficulties in submitting the applications owing to various reasons.
It is important to mention that so far; the banks have received 150,000 Hajj applications under the government scheme across the nation. Some designated banks have been assigned the task of accepting the Hajj applications.
Last Saturday and Sunday the banks remained open in order to provide ease to the people who are usually busy on weekdays and have only weekends for doing other tasks or activities.
This year 200,000 lucky pilgrims would be getting the chance of performing Hajj.
Hajj is a religious obligation, mandatory on every Muslim who could afford to do it both financially and physically. This one religious ritual is such that every Muslim desire to accomplish soon and at least once in their lifetime.
