The government would be refunding the Hajj 2020 charges to all the successful applicants for this year’s Hajj. The process of refund is to commence from Thursday as informed by the spokesperson of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
As per the spokesperson of the religious ministry the decision has been taken considering the decision of the government of Saudi Arabia to have limited Hajj this year owing to the corona-virus pandemic.
He said that the deposited amounts of the Hajj pilgrims would be refunded via the scheduled banks throughout the nation and all the applicants are being notified via SMS.

The spokesperson said that the applicants should come in person for receiving their respective deposited amount in cash, while the group leaders should visit the bank with all the original documents of the group members in case of receiving via cheque.
The applicants could contact the Accounts Officer Refund at 051-9208465 in case of any issues in the refund process, said the spokesperson.
Previously, the government of Saudi Arabia announced that it would be holding the Hajj 2020 with a limited number of pilgrims this year. It said that it would permit 1,000 pilgrims to perform the holy ritual. These pilgrims would be the ones already residing in the Kingdom.
