Gwadar Port will soon become the International Trading Hub under CPEC

As per the current Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Gwadar Port under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will become the center of global trade. The work on the Port is being done at a rapid pace.

PM Abbasi was speaking at the opening ceremony of Boao forum in Hainan Province, China. He said that the Asian continent is slowly and steadily taking control over the world economic order. He said that CPEC is a mega project that has led to a joint cooperation between Pakistan, China, and neighboring nations.

The conference at Boao forum will take place from April 8 to 11. The main topic of the conference is An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of greater Prosperity”.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative has become popular worldwide. For some it will bring economic growth in the region, others have raised eyebrows regarding the project as they are speculative. But the truth is that this project is leading the world towards the fourth economic revolution that will incorporate artificial intelligence and biotechnology to create a developed, stable and new world.

PM Abbasi said, “It was natural for Pakistan to take lead in partnering up with China to usher in new era of peace and prosperity through enhanced connectivity.”

He acknowledged the development going on in China and said that the country is playing its important part in international trade & growth.

Commenting about CPEC he said that highways and motorways are the highlights of CPEC, saying, “Pakistan and China are iron brothers”.

Furthermore, he informed that Chinese companies including e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Limited want to invest in Pakistan for mutual benefit. He informed that the Vice President of Power China Limited Li Yanming on Monday witnessed the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) signing between Inter-State Gas Systems (ISGS) of Pakistan and Power China to develop North-South Gas Pipeline.
