It has been reported that the local administration of Karachi has declared two Union Councils of Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal as ‘Red Zone’ on Monday after the new cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported.
According to the police officials, fresh directives have been issued by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) East in this regard under which Union Council (UC) 8 and Union Council (UC) 9 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi have been completely sealed.
“No one would be allowed to enter and leave the area without any strong reason and that too only after showing CNIC to the law enforcement personnel,” a police official added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the local administration of the city has completely sealed off several areas in District East.
According to the details, the authorities have parked several water tankers, buses, and trucks at Jauhar Chowrangi and Jauhar Morr and all the roads heading towards Dalmia and Drigh Road have completely been blocked.
