The ground crew of the Emirates Airlines across the world have given an emotional farewell to their last operating flights back to Dubai.
The flight to London Heathrow EK 005, which left at 16:05 hrs on March 24 was the last flight to take off from Dubai. EK 262 from Sao Paulo which arrived at 22:35 hrs was the last one to land in Dubai on the 25th of March.
The outstation airport teams from the thirty-nine stations which include Seoul, Zurich, Prague, Newark and London Stansted devotedly sent off their last passenger flights before the airline imposed a suspension of its operations. Over the next weeks, the operational teams of the Emirates would just be focusing on the preparation for service resumption.
According to the government of the United Arab Emirates for the protection of the communities against the spread of the coronavirus, Emirates has taken the decision of temporarily suspending its all passenger flights from March 25, 2020.
The airline would be restarting its services as soon as it would be possible to do so. In the meantime, the airline is still occupied in positioning its fleet of Boeing 777 freighters, bolstering the international air cargo links for the transportation of the important goods, which includes the food and medical supplies across the world.
