On Tuesday, the Pakistan Railways has taken the decision of adding up 2 more additional bogies in the economy class of the Green Line Express Train, as per the reports of local media.
As per the sources, the addition of the bogies in the Karachi-Islamabad train would be made from the 15th of December.
But an AC business coach would be removed from the train, thus bringing the total count of bogies in the train to 13, as revealed by the sources.
On the 5th of December, the Federal Minister for Railways—Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed made the announcement of a 10percent decrease in the freight train fares.

While addressing a news conference, he said that the fares of the freight trains are being reduced by 10percent from midnight.
The minister gave reaffirmation to his commitment to turn the Railways into a profitable business generating institution by entirely eradicating its deficit within 3 years. He also said that Pakistan is the only nation in the world where the passenger trains are producing profits.
He said that Main Line One, which saw 1,872-kilometre-long new track from Karachi to Lahore, would be an iconic project in the 72-year history of the nation. It would produce 100,000 job opportunities, as per the minister.
On the other hand, Pakistan Customs has taken the decision of introducing an internship programme from the month of June next year. The programme is designed for boosting the abilities of the students.
