Shafqat Mahmood, the federal minister for Education and Professional Training said that the federal government will soon be announcing a policy for the supplementary students and matriculation classes within 2 to 3 days, as per the reports of local media.
He said while talking to local media that there was no confusion on the policy that has been announced by the federal government about the educational institutions and the academic activities.
Shafqat Mahmood said that the ban on schools has not been lifted considering the health of the children among the COVID-19 pandemic. He also said that the relevant authorities have also taken the decision of suspending the exams, besides directing to scrutinice the academic progress of the students on the basis of their previous results.
The government will also be announcing the decisions about the matriculation examinations of class 9th and 10th besides announcing about the policy for supplementary students.
He also informed that the government asked the education boards of the country to put forward their suggestions in 2 to 3 days. He asked all the private schools to promote the students to the next grades who are enrolled in class I to VIII.
On the other hand, yesterday the education ministry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that it is likely to conduct its matriculation and inter examinations in June.
