The federal government has taken the decision of setting up a national emergency helpline in order to control the unwanted incidents. According to the reports, this helpline is being established to respond to the people across the nation immediately who are in dire need or are in any uncertain situation.
PM Khan has given a significant task to the PM Performance Delivery Unity (PMDU) for setting up a national emergency helpline to put an end to the unwanted incidents like the recently occurred incident of the motorway gang-rape case.
PMDU has been instructed to set up a separate system on the modern lines within 2 months for responding to the complaints immediately across the nation for the citizens, if they are in an emergency situation.
A toll-free number would be provided to the citizens to register their complaints regarding any emergency situation they are encountering while the helpline would be interconnected with the new system, as mentioned by the Prime Minister Office.
The emergency unit would be taking help from the cellular firms alongside consulting with all the provinces for the purpose of legislation for making the system more effective and stable in order to control any indecent incident in the future.
