Govt to Set up Kashmir Desks at Pakistani Embassies Across World

Shah Mehmood Qureshi—the Foreign Minister of Pakistan has informed that Kashmir desks would be set up in the Pakistani embassies across the world for highlighting the Kashmir issue, as per the reports of local media.

According to the shared details, the foreign minister paid a visit to the newly set up Kashmir cell at the foreign ministry in the capital city. During his visit, the minister informed that the focal persons would also be deputed at the Kashmir desks.

The Kashmir desks would remain in touch with the Kashmir cell for exchanging information and directives, as informed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi. He also said that the Kashmir cell has been formed at the instructions of the Prime Minister which would keep on working 24/7.

Previously on the 3rd of September, the first session of the Kashmir cell that was set up last month ended with a joint decision of not leaving the Kashmiri brethren in this hour of need.

The policies of Pakistan were reviewed on the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir other than taking into consideration the various aspects of the effective foreign policy on the dispute that had been there since ages.

It is important to mention that the Foreign Minister had announced on the 17th of August about the formation of 2 specific diplomatic formations which include the Kashmir Cell in the foreign office and Kashmir desks and Kashmiri centric desks at the selected embassies of Pakistan across the world.
