As per the reports of local media, the federal ministry of Finance has taken the decision of releasing the government employees’ salaries and pensions before Eid.
As per an issued handout, the finance division of the ministry has given out orders to the Accountant General of Pakistan (AGP) to release the salaries and pensions of the employees before the 21st of May.
It also said that the decision was taken for facilitating the employees and pensioners amid the current coronavirus situation.
It is important to mention that on the 23rd of March, the CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has taken the decision to control all the financial resources of the province amid the COVID-19 spreading fears.
As per an issued statement by the spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh, the CM has decided to release the pensions of the retired employees from the 25th of March.
Regarding this, the finance ministry has been told to start the distribution of the pension from the 25th of this month.
On the other hand, as per the latest development, it has been indicated that there has been a surge in the coronavirus cases and it is because of the local transmission. The locally transmitted cases have seen a surge after the ease in lockdown.
