Govt. to Make Rs.10 billion via Biotechnology in Next Few Years; Says Fawad Chaudhry


Fawad Chaudhry—the federal minister for Science and Technology has said that the government would be making all the efforts for earning Rs.10 billion during the span of the next few years with the assistance of biotechnology.

While addressing a press conference, he said that they have set a target of producing 30percent cheap electricity from the green sources.

He also said that the future of the country is on the promotion of solar energy and lithium battery and added that the solar panels would help in the production of electricity at low cost. He further added that the major reason for inflation in the country was owing to the production of expensive electricity.

He also shared that the Ministry of Science and Technology is all set to ink a deal with the government of Punjab under which the major biotechnology park of South Asia would be set up.

Fawad Chaudhry also indicated to promote herbal medicines in the country like developed nations.

He remarked that they wanted to make the agricultural drones and air ambulances with the aid of Pakistan Air Force and other defence institutions.

The budget for the Ministry of Science and Technology has surged to 600percent in the present year. The minister added that this number would get almost double in the next year.
