Govt. to Launch Ehsaas Langar in Islamabad

Dr. Sania Nishtar—the Special Assistant to the PM on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation said that the government is all set to launch the Ehsaas Langar scheme which would help in eradicating the inequality and would invest in people via a public-private partnership model.

On Sunday, in a statement, she said that Ehsaas is opinion its very first langar in Islamabad in collaboration with the Saylani Welfare International Trust, where free of cost charity food would be distributed among the deserving and less privileged segments on a regular basis.

She added that this is the first scheme being set up under the public-private partnership under the Ehsaas program. She also said that the scheme would be extended in other parts of Pakistan for providing basic meals to the people in need.

Ehsaas Langar is an entirely new concept that has been set up with the special orders of the PM Imran Khan for making sure that the charity reached out to the deserving.

Previously on the 1st of October, Dr. Sania Nishtar at the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly presented the Ehsaas program for creating awareness among the world leaders.

The session of the UNGA 74 was a busy and exciting week for the global development activities which gave an interactive and engaging location to the global community of leaders and innovators for discussion, cooperation, and coalition building.
