The Karachi Green Line Buses Project buses, as per the reports of local media.
According to the shared details, the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL), which is a federal government-owned entity a meeting has been called on the 9th of April for discussing the matters about the Karachi Green Line BGT project.
The sources revealed that nearly 80 buses would be bought with a cost of Rs.10.95 billion. The federal government would be issuing an international tender to operate the Green Line BRT project operations.
The company that gets successful in getting the bid would be bound to run the project operations for 3 years.
In the earlier meeting of the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited asked for the seeking tenders for the laying down of Phase II of the Green Line BRT, which runs from the Taj Medical Complex to Jama Cloth market.
Back in the month of December, 2019, the governor of Sindh Imran Ismail had made the announcement that PM Khan would be inaugurating the Green Line bus project which is completed for offering releief to the citizens of Karachi experiencing the transportation issues.
It is petinent to mention that the BRT Green project with the intersections is 24 kilometres in length and includes 12.7 km elevated and 422 meters underground and has got 25 stations.
The construction work on the phase-I started back in 2016.
