For facilitating the expatriate Pakistanis, the government is planning to introduce many incentives. Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, the Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis has indicated this during an interview.
He said that the incentives for the overseas Pakistanis would be including the easy remittance transfers, cheaper airfares and attractive investment opportunities through digitization.
He also underlined that a policy in this regard is being considered and these perks would be rolled out within the span of the next few months.
Bukhari indicated that the government is also intending to introduce a pension scheme for the overseas Pakistanis.
He said that the incumbent government is focused on the well being and prosperity of the less privileged people of the society. He added that they had also increased the EOBI pensions from Rs.5,250 to Rs.8,500 in the past few months and the plan is to revise it and make it up-to Rs.15,000 by 2022.
The government of PTI on the other hand, has also launched a policy for hiring the overseas Pakistanis who have lost their jobs during the corona pandemic.
