PM Khan has made the announcement that the government would be introducing the electronic voting system in the country in order to ensure fair and transparent elections in the nation.
As per reports, the Prime Minister during his address to the nation over electoral reforms said that talks are undergoing with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the e-voting system in the nation.
He asked the opposition parties to come together in the legislations for the electoral reforms in the country so that no one could raise any accusations on the transparency of the elections in the future.
He also said that the Senate and AJK elections are to come soon and highlighted the need for the constitutional changes to grant permission to the Senate elections through the show of hand.
PM Khan also extended his thanks to the people of Gilgit Baltistan for showing their trust in the government in the general elections. He promised to ensure the fulfillment of the promise of offering provisional provincial status to the GB province during a public gathering in the region.
