On Saturday, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Reforms, Khusro Bakhtiar made the announcement that the government has taken the decision of forming Pak-China Business council, and it has also forwarded the names of the leading businessmen to the Chinese embassy in this matter.
The minister in a conference in the federal capital said that the second phase of CPEC is being started and the government would form a CPEC authority comprising of highly skilled and updated human resources for the updating of the present structure for speedy and targeted execution of the projects.
He also added that a bill to this effect would soon be launched in the parliament.
The two nations have also taken the decision of forming a Pak-China business council with a view for including people belonging to the private sector for implementing industrial and agricultural development projects under the second phase of CPEC, the minister said.
He also said that they are striving for taking the focus of the CPEC to the business community level besides the government level.
He gave information to the media that the Chinese officials are anticipated to pay a visit to Pakistan in the last week of October.
In regard to the Gwadar Master Plan, the minister said that it is in the final phase and would soon be presented. As per the master plan, Gwadar would become a smart port city in the world.
