The special assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting—Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government is focused on setting up more technology parks in the educational institutions for promoting knowledge-based economy.
On Twitter she posted while referring to the formation of the Science and Technology Park at NUST that this project would play the role of filling the gap between the academia and the industry.
She added that the park would be boosting the research and would given impetus to the digital economy.

The Special Assistant to the PM said that Science and Technology Park would offer a platform to the researchers for sitting together and taking practical measures for the development of the technology-based economy.
The NSTP being the first of its kind in Pakistan is a platform for catalyzing the knowledge economy. It has been inaugurated under the overarching theme of Innovative Pakistan—a platform that is designed to synergize the researchers, investors, implementers, creators and the end users of the technologies for transforming their creative ideas into successful products and services, while promoting a culture of entrepreneurship in the country.
On the other hand, a special train shuttle service has been started for people carrying them from Lahore to Wagah at that too in just Rs.30. The service has commenced after like a gap of 22 years.
