The government said on Friday that Pakistan will bring back the 6,000 stranded Pakistanis every week. This operation will be executed from 20th April.
This decision took place in a meeting lead by Moeed Yusuf Special assistant on National Security and Zulfiqar Bukhari Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis. Mooed Yusuf stated in the meeting that all the Pakistani embassies are advised to fulfill each and every basic need of the Pakistanis stranded overseas. For this purpose, all government’s resources are being used.
Yusuf further added that after landing in Pakistan, every Pakistani will have to go through coronavirus tests and also they will have to stay in quarantine centers for some time. The flight schedule has been prepared after checking the capacity of the quarantine centers.
On the other hand, Zulfiqar Bukhari SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis said that a new flight schedule is under preparation according to which Pakistanis stuck overseas in different countries especially in UAE will be brought to Pakistan.
He further said in a video message that he knows about the difficulties our citizens are facing in UAE but he advised all the Pakistanis who are in the UAE to remain there as our country does not have enough capacity to bring all the Pakistanis in one go.
The first flight will take off on the 18th April and then the next flight schedule will be made for those Pakistanis who are facing transit visa issues, who have lost their jobs or those whose visa expiry date is near.
