For making students continue their education, the Government Girls’ Primary School administration took the children on a field trip during which they paid a visit to the various institutions in the district. This visit was arranged by the govt school as an incentive to the students for boosting their spirits and for urging them to study.
The school was built in the year 1988, and it stands in the middle of a field, surrounded by crops on all sides.
The administration mentioned that the schools do not have any playground or park where the children could get involved in recreational activities. They further said that the area is underdeveloped.
On returning home from the schools, the students majorly assist their parents with farming and in taking care of the animals, which leaves them with very little time for other activities.
The children walk a considerable distance for reaching to the school to attend classes, the administration further said.
It was mentioned that in order to keep the students interested, they were taken on a tour of the various institutions formed in the district.
Such activities help in boosting the interest of students in studies.
On the tour, the students visited the park, mini zoo, e-library, and the gymnasium.
Rehana Jabeen—the Deputy District Education Officer said that such activities assist children in learning and holding on to the new concepts. She said that this is a positive measure towards developing the interest of children in their studies.
The gesture was also appreciated by the parents. They said that they work every single day for earning the income so that leaves no time for them to take their children on any education or recreational tours.
