The government has rented 500 containers which would be used for sealing the capital and to hold the flow of the Azadi March participants.
As per the reports of local media, the company providing the containers said that it won the tender to do so by submitting the lowest offered bid.
As per the per contract, the government would be paying daily rent to the containers providing company and would be responsible for any damages or theft.

Earlier the police confiscated the shipping containers off the federal capital during protests.
The owner of the logistics company—Rana Habibur Rehman said that he cannot share the details of the per day rent it is their business secret, but he could say that all the containers are empty and could be checked by anyone. He added that they have been placed at various places throughout the federal capital and would be there for an indefinite period. He also said that they would be removing them the day they would be directed to do so by the police that containers are no more needed.
The report mentioned that under the agreement with the contractor of the container’s provider, the government would be paying for any damage or theft. He said that the government has floated a tender for shipping these containers and number of companies filed bids for it.
He informed that their company has nearly 1,000 containers, out of which five hundred have been placed in Islamabad and the remaining are to be placed in the different cities like Lahore and Peshawar.
