Today, Shah Mehmood Qureshi Foreign Minister said that the government is planning to bring more stranded Pakistanis through special flights.
While addressing at a press conference in Islamabad he said that earlier it was difficult to bring back more people as there was a lack of facilities.
Earlier, Pakistan did not have sufficient testing capacity or quarantine facilities. To bring back more Pakistanis it was necessary to fix these issues first, only then it could be possible to bring the stranded people back to their homeland said the foreign minister.
Also, the provinces were not ready to open up their airports before but now they have agreed on opening the airports as per the government’s requests. The government was very well aware of the problems Pakistanis were facing abroad.
And keeping those problems in mind Shah Mehmood Qureshi promised to bring all the nationals back to the country by taking all preventive measures.
He also praised PM Khan after G-20 decided to pay debt relief to 76 countries which includes Pakistan.
Today, Teresa Daban Sanchez IMF resident Representative in Pakistan also called the foreign minister in Islamabad. Qureshi applauded the decision of IMF, World Bank, and G-20 countries on paying debt relief to many countries.
