The Sindh Government is to shut down all the private schools situated in the residential areas. The government is making it hard for private school owners in order to end the corruption in the education system of the province.
The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has released a notification to shut down all private schools which are built in the residential areas.
As per a notice issued from the department, a warning has been given to all the private school authorities in Karachi to shift their schools from the residential areas or they would be facing bans. The notice was circulated on Monday.
According to the document, more than five thousand private schools are constructed on the residential plots in the city.
The notice issued is not just for the private schools and their owners but also is addressed for all the business owners who have established their businesses on the residential areas.
The notification further mentioned that buildings leased for residential reasons are being used for commercial purposes which is unlawful.
All such business owners, including the ones who owns these private schools, have been given a thirty-day final notice to shift their properties from the residential areas or else they would be locked down once the deadline ends.
It also added that all the buildings that are breaking the code of building would also be demolished.
Earlier week, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department had annulled the registration of 4 high-class schools in the city of light for not abiding with the fee regulation directives of the court.
