The government of Punjab has taken the decision of providing free Hepatitis screening and treatment facilities for the eradication of this disease.
This decision of providing free treatment is not just for Hepatitis but it has also been adopted for the other contiguous diseases as well.
Iftikhar Ali Sahoo—the Multan Divisional Commissioner mentioned at the inauguration of the free Hepatitis screening camp established by the government of Punjab at DHQ Hospital, Lodhran.

He gave directives to the DHQ Hospital MS that the patients suffering from hepatitis should be given free medicine and that awareness should be provided for disease prevention.
He informed that the patients visiting the camp are being given the test results in just the span of 10-15 minutes. He also said that the patients diagnosed with the disease of Hepatitis are being given vaccines on the spot and blood samples of PCR tests are being collected so that the patients could be given the PCR Test facility.
He informed that the new dialysis unit and CT scan department would be made operational soon so that the people could get the modern medical facilities.
