Govt. Launches ‘Know Your Status’ Portal for Applicants of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program

The government has introduced ‘Ehsaas Emergency Cash – Know Your Status’ portal. The aim of the portal is to facilitate the applicants and the vol­unteers of the Ehsaas Emer­gency Cash program, allowing them to easily check the online status of their applications.

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar spoke about this initiative for Ehsaas Applicants stating, “In the interest of transparency, the final election results of Ehsaas Emergency Cash applications have been announced on the portal after determining eligibility through data analytics and rule-based procedures. All applicants who have registered themselves through 8171 can now easily check their eligibility status by entering Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) CNIC number on the portal. If eligible, they can collect their cash from the nearest Ehsaas payment centers.”

With the joint collaboration with NADRA, the portal has been designed.

As the eligibility gets confirmed via the Portal, Ehsaas Emergency Cash applicants can get cash hand out of Rs. 12,000 from the closest payment site.

Furthermore, the web portal will allow the beneficiaries that are having issues with biometric verification to receive payments via designated banks without the prior verification need from NADRA. In KP, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kash­mir Bank Alfalah while in Punjab, Sindh, and Balo­chistan Habib Bank are providing the services to all the beneficiaries.
