The PM is concerned regarding the well-being and safety of media personnel amid the coronavirus outbreak, as per the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan. Thus, ‘COVID-19 Care For Media’ application specially designed to cater to the issues of media personnel is being launched.
This application will allow journalists to register themselves and their families. They can seek out help if they acquire COVID-19. This application will collect real-time data on the infected and provide those suffering from the virus with immediate assistance.
Also, a press conference is to be held in which the matter relating to the safety, precaution and paying media their pending dues will be under discussion.
On March 20th, PM Imran Khan took media’s help to run public awareness messages regarding preventives measures to be adopted to fight and control the spread of coronavirus.

PM Khan had a telephonic conversation with Pakistan Broadcasting Association (PBA) Vice President Amir Mahmood in which he said that his government is taking thorough measures to minimize the virus outbreak.
