The government is planning on setting up 3 more universities in the Rawalpindi division for serving the needs of the masses.
The government is also intending to make small and big dams for overcoming the shortage of water in the twin cities.
For providing enough medical facilities to the needy and less privileged the government would be completing the construction work of the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology.
These views were shared by Ghulam Sarwar Khan—the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources while he was talking to media after leading a District Development Committee meeting on Saturday.
While talking to media he said that the government has got acres of land in Gujar Khan, Taxila and Rakh Dhamial which was of no use. He added that they have decided for building the Potohar University at Gujar Khan while Gandhara University in Taxila and the University of Technology at Rakh Dhamial.
He said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was inclined on providing basic needs to the masses at their door steps.
He also informed that the government was also taking solid measures for executing major projects—Ring Road and Leh Expressway for lessening the burden of traffic.
