The federal government has imposed a regulatory duty on the import of cordless phone sets which costs between $30 to $500.
A regulatory duty of Rs180 to Rs18,500 has been put on to each cordless set, and an official notification has been issued in this matter.
As per a notification issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on the 18th of October 2018, a regulatory duty of Rs180 would have to be paid on the import of cordless set which includes landline costing $30, Rs1,800 per set on the import of a landline phone with a cordless set costing less than $100 and more than $30.

Rs2,700 regulatory duty is imposed on a landline phone and cordless set costing more than $100 and less than $200. The regulatory duty of Rs3,600 per set would be imposed on the import of a landline phone and cordless in between $200-$350.
Rs10,500 would be imposed on the import of landline phone and cordless costing more than $350 and less than $500, while Rs8,500 regulatory duty would have to be paid for each set imported which costs more than $500.
