Omar Ayub, the federal minister on Wednesday said that the government has taken a step for providing ease to the public by permitting them to pay their electricity bills into 3 months instalments, as per the reports of local media.
While talking to local media he said that the programme “Power Play” has been introduced for the ones who consume 300 units of electricity.
He further added that the gas consumers could also pay their bills into 3 instalments, whereas, the gas bills of March, April and May would have to be paid within a span of 9 months. The concerned authorities would further be reviewing the situation of the electricity bills after the month of June.

The minister, further detailed that PM Khan is offering special attention to impart relief to the Pakistanis. The government is bent on taking steps for resolving the issues. He also added that the credit for the relief packages goes to their economic team.
Minister Ayub said that during these times, the country is experiencing an uncertain time owing to the spread of the coronavirus. But, they have to keep working for the betterment of the national economy. The state authorities have given clarification to IMF and to the World Bank that the rights and interests of the Pakistani nationals, is the top priority.
He also said that the government would do whatever is best for the nation. He promised to ta further measures for bringing stability in the prices.
