It has been decided by the government to extend the permission for conducting domestic flight operations to and from 6 airports of Pakistan till 31st August.
A NOTAM notice has been issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to the airmen to extend the permission to conduct domestic flights till August 31st.
Earlier the permission in this regard was issued till 30th June.
According to the CAA’s NOTAM the Pak government is satisfied by permitting restricted domestic schedule and chartered passenger flight operations between Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta airports following the established guidelines i.e. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) after having the approval from the relevant authority.
On the other hand, the domestic flight operations to Gilgit and Skardu airports, to and from Islamabad International Airport would be conducted as normal operation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the domestic schedule and the chartered passenger flight operations will remain suspended until further notice is given. Furthermore, the CAA’s NOTAM stated that the domestic flight operations will be available for all the airports.
