Earlier today, news came out that the Government of Pakistan has decided to rewards all coronavirus frontline workers with Nishan-e-Haider.
All the Corona Heroes will be presented with Nishan-e-Haider by the Arif Alvi President of Pakistan.
The reports revealed that the award distribution ceremony is going to take place on October 27th at the inauguration of the Corona Heroes Wall built at the Governor House in Punjab. The wall will carry names and pictures of all those people including the frontline workers who helped in containing the global coronavirus pandemic with little resources.
The award distribution ceremony will be attended by the Governors of the four provinces of Pakistan and President Arif Alvi.
Nishan-e-Haider is one of the highest military awards in Pakistan. Its literal meaning in Urdu is Emblem of the Lion.
After the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in February, all the doctors and nurses have been working day and night to contain the virus in the country. Since February, Pakistan has reported 320,463 COVID-19 cases in total, out of which 305, 080 patients have recovered and 6, 601 have lost their lives.
